the invalids

sick...sick...sick.

That's what I have been for the past week. sick. Not just sick but I'm pretty sure it was the flu. And because I am prego I can't take any form of medication other than extra strength Tylenol and Tums. I hate Tums so much. Just when it was getting really bad A and his dad gave me a blessing and things started to look up. I wasn't miraculously healed right then and there but things got a whole lot better. Thank heavens for those two and their priesthood, that's all I can say. And I am happy to report that I am on the upswing. Hopefully just a day of taking it easy and I'll be back to normal.

In other terrible, awful news...Kipling has also been recovering. He got neutered and had eye surgery. I surprisingly have quite a few shots of his "kiwis" but I thought that might be inappropriate.

so here's a shot of two actual kiwis and you can let your imagination do the rest
You'll never look at a whole kiwi the same way.

We were planning on studding the sweet guy out but with this genetic eye condition he has we would rather not pass on those genes to other bulldogs. I'm still a little bummed because we could have made a lot of money but that's responsible breeding. Ho hum.

A's youngest brother James has done the amazing! A HUGE congrats needs to go to him and the Olympus High soccer team for their semi final win yesterday against Mountain View (my high school's big rival). James scored the winning (and only) goal and they are going to STATE!!! Thursday is the big game and I am so glad I am feeling better so I can go. This is awesome! CONGRATS JEEMS!!! Here's the Deseret News article on the big win.

To explain a little more how big of a deal this is to the Webb fam here's an email A sent to his family about James.
"It took six kids but we finally got to an athlete!!!!! James did it for all of us and our missed goals, 10 minute miles, triple bogeys, and purple diving speedos."

Need I remind anyone of the time A showed up to his middle school soccer team try-outs in cleats and had to run the mile in them. 4 laps around the track, clicking (and probably wincing) as he went. He was the laughing stock of Providence Middle School for quite some time. We still haven't lived that one down.

Good job Jeems! We are so proud of you!
TAKE STATE OLY!

25 weeks

the babe is the size of an eggplant

How far along? 25 1/2 Weeks
Total weight gain: I don't really know, our scale is in a box somewhere in the barn. probably 12-15 lbs but feels like 100.
Maternity clothes? not yet, I'm trying to get away with whatever I already own with stretchy waist bands.
Stretch marks? yep, just a few but :(
Sleep: yes please, I go to bed around 9 pm and wake up at 6:30 am but I sleep well during that time.
Best moment this week: moving to Utah, settling in at the ranch and seeing all the friends and family we've missed so much!

Miss Anything? having energy, fitting into my clothes, sushi
Movement: Lots of little jabs, just letting mommy know she's doing good in there.
Food cravings: donuts, fruit, salad, ice cream, honey, a.k.a. everything
Anything making you queasy or sick: everything gives me major heartburn, bring on the tums!
Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Everyone said that my hair/nails/skin were supposed to get long and thick and "glow" but pregnancy has the exact opposite effect on me. Stringy dull hair that sheds like crazy, my nails are slightly weaker and my skin...oy vey, I should be a "before" shot on the Proactive commercials. Pregnancy does not become me. (and yes, I am taking prenatals everyday.)
Belly Button in or out? I just checked, still in barely.
Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: I'm having an emotional week so about half and half
Looking forward to: Mother's Day with the Webb's and skyping with John in Italy

I told A that "this is my jam right now" on our drive west and he laughed at me but it's my "go to" song at the moment

and I'm reading this, it's sweet

so happy right now

Lots has happened in a month. A survived finals and graduated. That is the biggest and most important news. He worked his hiney off these past two years and I am so proud of him. He now is referred to as "Master Andrew" in our home. There are no photos of the actual graduation ceremony because well, we picked up and moved to Utah about 3 weeks before the ceremony would actually happen. He would much rather be in his cowboy gear than in a cap and gown anyways. Our last days in the Cleve were spent packing and eating at our favorite locals. We are seriously going to miss the food.

bottom: only a few of the boxes, K being super naughty but so comfy, the last supper @ DiBella's

The drive was okay. This was our 4th drive across the country in 2 years, I'm so over Nebraska. You hear that Nebraska? Over you. Kipling hated the drive (and also Nebraska) and would sleep in the downward dog position most of the time. Poor guy, he hates car rides. But he exacted his revenge by making us stay in quite possibly the creepiest, most run down, motel in Keokuk, Iowa because no one else took dogs. There may or may not have been blood on the side of my mattress.

bottom: Nauvoo temple, Twix bars and bottled water=our nutrition for 3 days

But we did stop in Nauvoo for a day and it was fabulous and broke up the mundane drive a little bit. We listened to Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter on the way out and it was actually very entertaining. (honestly, I think the movie will probably be better than the book so I'm excited about that)

Now we are happily snuggled into life at the ranch. Waking up to the mountains every morning is magical. We are so grateful A's parents are letting us crash here for a little bit. It is the perfect way to get acclimated back into life in the west. A is back in his element, Kipling has never been happier and I am beyond grateful with my life right now. Plus we got to go to the last Jazz game of the season, what more could we ask for?
